‎The Tripoli based Libyan Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, discussed the establishment of a Libyan Chinese training centre in Benghazi as well as a draft MoU with China.

The discussion took place during a meeting at the Ministry’s Tripoli headquarters yesterday between Minister Al-Abed and the Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Libya, Lu Jian.

The ministry reported that the two discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of employment, training and rehabilitation. The two sides discussed mechanisms to accelerate the return of Chinese companies to Libya to resume contracted development projects, which will contribute to supporting the national economy and providing new job opportunities. ‎

‎The meeting also dealt with enhancing cooperation in the field of modern technology and digital transformation, with the aim of keeping pace with global developments and improving the Libyan work environment. In addition, a draft memorandum of understanding between the two countries was discussed in the fields of vocational training and employment, and in regulating the mobility of labour.‎
