The Libyan General Union of Chambers of Commerce reported today that it received yesterday a business delegation from Turkey’s ANASIAD consortium for the Anatolia/ Yenisehir/ Bursa region. The delegation included representatives of several companies in the contracting, construction and infrastructure sectors.
The delegation was received by the President of the General Union, Mohammed Al-Raied, accompanied by representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and several businessmen.
During the meeting, ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two sides were discussed, focusing on agriculture, real estate investment, and partnerships in development projects, in addition to forming joint delegations to follow up on cooperation.
The two sides also agreed to work to overcome the obstacles that Turkish companies may face in Libya, especially in the areas that characterise the Yenisehir region, which is one of the most important agricultural producing areas in Turkey.
It was also agreed to organise specialised economic forums in the fields of agriculture, investment and trade, with the aim of strengthening partnerships and supporting investment opportunities between the two countries.
