The Director of the European Department at the Tripoli based Libyan Foreign Ministry, Abubaker Ibrahim Al-Taweel, received at his Ministry’s headquarters, Thomas Phipps, Deputy Ambassador at the British Embassy in Libya.
The Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting dealt with ways to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries in various fields to serve bilateral interests.
Visas and direct flights
During the meeting, several important common topics were discussed, especially with regard to granting visas and working to facilitate them, especially for students, and work to open a direct flight line between the two countries.
Working to activate the joint committee between the two countries in the near future, and other common issues that serve both sides, were also discussed.
