Western based Libyan Army participates in Madrid’s 5+5 Defence Initiative meeting

Assistant Chief of the General Staff of the (western based) Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah Al-Din Al-Namroush participated on 13 December in the 20th meeting of defence ministers of the 5 + 5 Defence Initiative held in Madrid (Photo: General Staff).

The General Staff of the (western based) Libyan Army reported yesterday that the Assistant Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Salah Al-Din Al-Namroush and his accompanying delegation, participated last Thursday (13 December), in the twentieth meeting of defence ministers of the 5 + 5 Defence Initiative held in Madrid.

‎The General Staff of the Libyan Army gave no details about the deliberations or outcomes of the meeting except to add that the meeting was held in the presence of the Minister of Defence of Spain, Margarita Fernandez.

The meeting also included the participation of the Ministers of Defence of the 5+5 Defence Initiative countries, and members of the participating delegations representing the 5+5 Defence Initiative countries: Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, France, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Spain.‎
