The Public Prosecutor’s Office announced on Wednesday that it had ordered the pretrial arrest of the Financial Controller and his predecessor at the Libyan diplomatic mission in Qatar.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office said the two accused deliberately abused their official powers in order to collect tens of thousands of foreign exchange for themselves and others.

It said its investigation was based on a report submitted by the Audit Bureau.
