A workshop was launched on Tuesday in Tunisia on cross-border cooperation and capacity enhancement at Libyan and Tunisian crossing points, sponsored by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Libyan Airports Authority (LAA) reported.
Representatives from several parties from both countries, including the LAA, will participate, represented in this workshop by Jamal Laftah in his capacity as Head of the Security Standards Department at the LAA.
The workshop centres on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and their implementation at all crossing points, and the mechanism for implementing the International Health Regulations (IHR) in order to confront diseases and epidemics and prevent their spread through border crossings and airports.
