Exhibition ‘‘Libya-Italy: a joint activity in the field of archaeology’’ opened yesterday at the Red Castle Museum in Tripoli’s Martyr Square.
The event is a joint archaeological activity between the Libyan Department of Antiquities and the Italian Embassy in Tripoli. The Italian Foreign Ministry is financing the event which is designed by Fondazione Meda with the participation of all Italian archaeological missions in Libya.
The aim of the event is to present the depth of Italian and Libyan cooperation in the sector of archaeology by showing the joint work carried out over the last seventy years by archaeologists from both countries.
The exhibition will be open in Tripoli until the end of December before it moves to Benghazi.
