A Turkish Airlines technical delegation paid an official visit to Tripoli’s Mitiga airport yesterday to inspect and evaluate the airport and its facilities and determine the possibility of operating commercial flights between the two countries, the Libyan Airports Authority (LAA) reported.

During the visit, an inspection tour of some airport facilities, including the passenger terminal, the baggage sorting and collection area, the air control tower, and the aircraft parking lot, was conducted.

The LAA also reported that the automatic baggage inspection devices were examined and the procedures that must be followed by travellers from their arrival at the airport until their departure, in order to ensure their conformity with what It is stipulated in the recommendations issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization were also identified.
