The Municipality of Benghazi announced today that it has contracted to demolish and rebuild the facade of the Benghazi port. The port’s façade had been badly damaged during the city’s civil war.
The contract entails for [restrict paid=”true”] the demolition and removal of the port’s outer wall and the main gate, and the rebuilding of the external façade by establishing a new outer wall and main gate.
The contract also includes sanitation works, a drinking water line, lighting works and external surveillance cameras.
[/restrict] The Municipality stated that these works come as part of its contribution to activating the city’s utilities.
