UNSMIL reported that its Acting head, Stephanie Williams, met Saturday with a group of mayors from across Libya and briefed them on the progress in the political, military and economic intra-Libyan talks.
UNSMIL reported that the mayors appreciated the update but urged the acceleration of the transition towards national elections and insisted on the speedy implementation of a decentralisation process to meet the basic needs of the Libyan people in terms of the delivery of services.
