London, 20 July 2020:
Libya’s Airports Authority announced that Misrata airport will reopen for flights by Sunday 26 June at the latest but only for departing passengers. No incoming passengers will be allowed.
The revelation came after the Airports Authority held a meeting yesterday with Libya’s Civil Aviation Authority to discuss the degree of implementation by Libyan airports of anti-Coronavirus safety measures. A deadline for the implementation of these measures was also set.
The Airports Authority said that an inspection of Misrata airport will be conducted on Friday 24 to ensure it has met the required safety measures.
