The third Libya Aviation Forum and Expo (5 to 7 November) opened in Tripoli yesterday.
The organisers said there was participation from 10 different countries at the event: Algeria; Denmark; France; Lithuania; Malta; Morocco; Spain; Tunisia; Turkey and Switzerland.
The event included the Tripoli based Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Air Transport, the Deputy head of the Civil Aviation Authority, and representatives of the Embassy of Italy, Spain, France and Indonesia.
A group of specialists and those interested in the aviation sector, including representatives of companies, public and private bodies and academics from inside and outside Libya, also attended.
Six papers were presented on day one and another six on day two of the event on various subjects in the aviation sector, including on: Open Skies, Aviation Costs, Aviation Health and Safety, Efficiency Indicators, AI and Airport Security, Libya’s Civil Aviation Authority’s Role in Promoting Libya’s Aviation Sector, Digitalisation and Smart Airports, AI Apps in Aviation, Cyber Security in Aviation and IT in Aviation.
Spain’s Indra signed an MoU with Libya’s Civil Aviation Authority at the event.
