In a clear sign that the National Oil Corporation (NOC) is seeking to build its international standing along with the recovery in its oil and as production, the state oil company is looking for a new spokesman.
It advertisement requires that the successful candidate willbe the public face of the NOC, alongside the chairman, as it moves to build a “world-class team”. The successful candidate must speak English and Arabic.
Key responsibilities include liaising with news outlets and social media, regulating the NOC’s public content and reports and appearances by staff.
The salary will be based on experience.
The successful candidate “will understand the principles of strategic communications, and will be able to devise clear and coordinated messaging for the entire organization,” the statement says.
“We want the NOC to reflect the very best of modern Libya and encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates irrespective of personal background or circumstances,” it adds.
