Benghazi, 1 June 2017:

Despite the continued fighting against militants in the downtown Sabri and Suq Al-Hout districts, Benghazinos have set out to enjoy themselves during Ramadan.

Ten youth teams are competing in a five-aside football tournament throughout the month on the all-weather pitch at the stadium in Humeida. The 12 and 13 year-olds come from all parts of the city and the early games have been watched by large and enthusiastic crowds.

Meanwhile in the Majouri district the Benghazi Nights festival has begun. The carnival which continues until the end of Ramadan includes music and plays, arts exhibitions, competitions and games and activities for children.
