Tunis, 26 March 2017:
The head of the Presidency Council, Faiez Serraj, had discussions today with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, on the current crisis in Libya.
Serraj and his accompanying delegation arrived in Doha yesterday.
For his part, the emir told Serraj that Qatar’s support for the Libyan Political Agreement, the Presidency Council and its government of national accord remained unchanged.
According to the Qatar news agency QNA, the meeting also focused on further developing relations between the two countries and various issues of joint interest.
Serraj and his delegation also had separate talks with Qatar’s foreign minister
A fortnight ago, the head of the State Council, Abdulrahman Sewehli, was also in Doha for talks on continuing Qatari support for the LPA and its institutions.
