Tunis, 25 January 2016:
Algeria rolled out the red carpet today for prime minister-designate Faiez Serraj when he arrived . . .[restrict]with a party that included two of his deputies, Musa Koni and Abdussalam Al-Kajman and adviser Taher El-Sonni. The state-controlled Algerian press described his trip as a “working visit”.
Serraj was greeted on the tarmac at Algiers by Algerian premier Abdelmalek Sellal. At their subsequent talks, Sellal said that Libya faced multiple challenges in the struggle against terrorism and the re-establishment of peace and security and promised his country’s support. Serraj thanked him for this.
He later went on to a meeting with the reportedly-ailing Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika at the presidential palace. No details of those discussions have been published. [/restrict]
