Tunis, 9 May 2017:

Following the Libya neighbours’ conference in Algiers yesterday, Presidency Council leader Faiez Serraj flew in to the city today for a briefing on what occurred and talks on further Algerian efforts at peace in Libya

Meeting with the country’s prime minister Abdelmalek Sellal and its Maghreb, African and Arab affairs minister Abdelkader Messahel, Serraj thanked the Algerian government for its efforts. He reportedly also raised a number of issues relating to bilateral cooperation, but his media office has not disclosed their nature.

During the short visit Serraj also laid a wreath at the memorial to those who died in the war for independence.
