The Libya Dialogue’s prime minister-designate, Faiez Serraj, is reported to have arrived in Algiers this evening. . . .[restrict]According to a press release from his media office, he was invited for talks by the Algerian government and is to meet Algeria’s Minister for Maghreb, Arab and African Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel.
Talks will concentrate on the terrorist threat in Libya and the support Algeria can give to the new Government of National Accord.
Serraj had talks in Egypt on Thursday on the same subjects.
It is not known if Serraj will meet with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. The country’s prime minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, as Serraj’s potential counterpart, is currently in Tehran for tomorrow’s 3rd summit of heads of state and government of gas exporting countries.
It is not know either if Serraj will be invited to the meeting of Libya’s neighbouring states being hosted by Algeria on 1 December to discuss the latest developments in the Libyan situation.
