Tripoli, 16 January 2016:
IS has executed two young men in Sirte whom it accused of being Libya Dawn . . .[restrict]spies. The murders were carried out in the usual fashion, with the victims being crucified on the frame of a former advertising hoarding in the middle of a roundabout in the town.
The names of those murdered are not yet known.
Yesterday IS forces raided 600 homes in Sirte and threw out the residents. It is unclear why this was done though one local has said that she believes that the accommodation was wanted for foreign fighters coming into the town.
The terrorists’ crackdown on dissent shows no sign of letting up. There are unconfirmed reports that they are holding more than 150 men in a compound in Nufaliya, 140 kilometres east of Sirte. Their offence has been that they either refused to join the fighters or declare their allegiance to IS. [/restrict]
