Tunis, 11 November 2015:
The two-day Arab-South American summit in Riyadh, attended by the president of the House of . . .[restrict]Representatives (HoR), Ageela Salah Gwaider and other HoR members, has declared its support for the UN-brokered Libya Dialogue agreement, initialed in Skhirat on 11 July, and not the official final version of 8 October which the HoR rejects.
In a final statement, according to the Saudi Press Agency, summit participants said they welcomed “the agreement of Skhirat on a political solution to the crisis in Libya which was initiated by the majority of the Libyan parties last July”.
The Libya Dialogue amended the agreement following the July initialing to accommodate demands from the General National Congress. However, these have been rejected by the HoR. It insists that the only agreement it will accept it the 11 July one.
