Preparations are underway in Derna ahead of reopening a number of departments at the city’s hospital, . . .[restrict]local sources told the Libya Herald.
According to the sources, the local Red Crescent Society delivered a shipment of medical supplies provided and flown to Tobruk by Libya’s Telecommunications Holding Company
The supplies included surgical equipment and medicines for treating wounded people at field hospitals.
The hospital departments in Derna reportedly planned to be reopen soon at those dealing with internal medicine, ophthalmology and urology.
Their reopening is seen as another sign of returning normality following the expulsion of Islamic State forces from the town in June. A police station re-opened in Derna two days ago. [/restrict]
