Tobrk, 26 June 2015:

Two million Tramadol tablets were found when police arrested four smugglers after a gunfight near the . . .[restrict]oasis town of Jaghbub yesterday.

The smugglers, travelling in two pickups, tried to flee toward the Egyptian border after they were challenged by members of the police’s Omar Al-Mukhtar Desert Patrol. When cornered they opened fire.

Tobruk municipality spokesman Marwan Younis Bakr said that no one was hurt in the shooting which ended with all the smugglers being arrested.
