South Korea’s Daewoo Corporation has evacuated many of its remaining employees in Libya. A catamaran took . . .[restrict]the staff – Koreans, Bangladeshis and Thais – to Malta yesterday. According to MaltaToday, they were taken on arrival to Malta airport to fly home.
Also among the 112 passengers on board the catamaran chartered from Virtu Ferries were eight Maltese citizens, evacuated with the help of the Maltese foreign ministry.
In August, Daewoo ferried 289 staff to Malta from Zuweitina following the outbreak of fighting in the east. It was the second Daewoo evacuation at the time. [/restrict]
