Thieves have broken into the site of the Sahabi Project west of Jalu and stolen cable belonging to . . .[restrict]the project.
Manager of the project Abdulhadi Hibri has said that the thieves broke in on Monday, destroying electrical wires and supplies for the project.
The aim of the Sahabi Project is the cultivation of palm and fruit trees.
According to Hibri, the thieves cut 32 electrical and steel wire columns—an estimated 7,500 metres of wire. As a result the destruction and theft of its materials, the project’s level of productivity has taken a dive.
Hibri has called on security services in the area to investigate into the situation and to prosecute the perpetrators. [/restrict]
