The Libyan British Business Council (LBBC) will host the Libya Energy Forum on 13 May 2026 in London, as part of the Africa Energies Summit 2026 and in association with the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
The forum will bring together senior Libyan leadership, international oil companies, investors, technical partners and advisers for a full day of strategic discussion, targeted networking and direct engagement.
The event will place Libya’s energy agenda within the wider context of African upstream investment and partnership discussions, while giving attendees direct access to the priorities and outlook of the NOC.
Chairman of the NOC, Masoud Suleiman, is scheduled to deliver the inaugural address, followed by a fireside conversation on Libya’s energy vision, strategic priorities and partnership approach.
According to the agenda, sessions will examine:
- Libya’s energy landscape and upstream potential gas development
- Flaring reduction and carbon management
- Workforce development and leadership
- The role of exploration strategy in unlocking the next phase of production growth
Peter Millett, Chairman of the LBBC, said: “This event is an opportunity for UK-based companies to discover more about the opportunities in Libya’s energy sector and build contacts with the key decision-makers in the NOC. The LBBC is delighted to be hosting this high-profile forum and confident that it will prove to be productive for both countries.”
Those attending including leadership from the NOC and its subsidiaries will take part in the Libya-focused sessions as well as the wider Africa Energies Summit, offering the chance to engage with senior decision-makers, investors and operators from across Africa and the global upstream sector.
