Ghat Municipal Council looks to improve services

Ghat, 10 September 2015:

Ghat Municipal Council has met to try and find answers to the dismal level of public services . . .[restrict]in the south-western border town. Officials from almost all local departments were brought in to explain the main problems affecting the area and suggest solutions.

Amongst the various issues raised was that of those who have had to moved to the town because of the fighting in Obari. The number is put at 846 people. A committee has been formed to address their problems.

On security, council members were told that a number of people were being trained to join the local police and that plans were in hand to reduce crime.
