Benghazi, 14 July 2014:
A member of Saiqa Special Forces was killed and two others . . .[restrict]wounded in separate shootings yesterday in Benghazi.
A source at Benghazi Medical Centre (BMC) identified the dead man as Faraj Ben Yezah, a sergeant. He was shot and killed while leaving the Madina Al-Munawara Mosque in the city’s Sabri district yesterday. Local residents said Yezah was targeted by gunmen driving a white car with tinted windows. Their identities are unknown.
Last night Police Sergeant Tareq Salem Nufal was critically wounded in Benghazi’s Hadaiq district after he was shot by unknown gunmen. He is in intensive care, medical sources said.
Another man was shot and injured in the early hours of Suday morning. The man, who has not been identified, was wounded during the kidnapping of his friend Sanad Burki and taken to BMC. The two were stopped in their car by armed assailants in Benghazi’s Tabalino area. The whereabouts of Burki is unknown.
