Tripoli, 16 June 2014:
Following last week’s opening of the new desalination plant in Zuwara, the government is ploughing . . .[restrict]ahead with other desalination plant projects.
The General Company for Water Desalination has announced a tender for more boilers at the Tobruk desalination stations, which was built by France’s Sidem, the same company responsible for the new Zuwara plant. Also wanted are new boilers for the old, largely non-operational Zuarwa plant.
The Desalination Company has called on specialised companies with previous experience in this sector to to submit their technical and financial proposals for:
- 83 boilers at the Tobruk station
- 3 boilers at the Zuwara station
Submissions must be received at the company’s Tripoli branch office on Janzour-Enjila road by noon on 8 August 2014. The phone number for more information is 218 21 489 7678 or 218 21 489 7679.
It is understood that proposals will also shortly be requested for a further three new desalination plants – in Misrata, Benghazi and Tripoli. [/restrict]
