Benghazi, 27 May 2014:

Two explosions took place overnight in separate areas of Benghazi destroying local businesses . . .[restrict]in the city’s Wehesia and Bodema districts.

A security source told the Libya Herald that although there had been some material losses in the blasts, they had not resulted in any casualties. The first took place, he said, near Suq Zamzam and the second in Nahr Sinai Street.

Benghazi Joint Security Room (BJSR) demolished a group of buildings near Suq Zamzam at the beginning of this month. They had been built in violation of city codes.  The BJSR subsequently published a statement saying that it had arrested members a group who had tried to attack its workers during the demolition.
