Benghazi, 24 May 2014:
Two young children and an elderly woman were injured in explosions believed to be the result . . .[restrict]of mortar fire in Benghazi last night.
The two children were hurt when a family apartment in the Bouatni area was hit. They were taken to a local hospital, local residents told the Libya Herald. It is believed that the intended target of the projectile was the nearby base of Saiqa Special Forces 21 Battalion.
The elderly woman was injured in a residential property on Nahr Saini Street.
Local residents said it was not clear who had launched either attack. [/restrict]
