Benghazi, 30 April 2014:
A Benghazi Security Directorate official has been killed and his colleague from the army’s 133 Brigade . . .[restrict]wounded in a shooting in Benghazi’s Gar Younis area.
Spokesman for Benghazi Joint Security Room Ibrahim Sharaa told the Libya Herald that the two men were targeted by gunmen while driving past Benghazi Al-Ahly football club. He identified the murdered man as Yousef Ali Faitouri, adding his body had been taken to Benghazi Medical Centre.
A medical source told this paper that Faitouri’s companion, whose name is being withheld for security purposes, is in critical condition having receive five gunshot wounds. He is in intensive care. [/restrict]
