By Sami Zaptia.

Tripoli, 8 July 2013:

Speaking at yesterday’s press conference, Prime Minister Ali Zeidan said that his government was on the . . .[restrict]verge of solving the problem of the blockage of the Interior Ministry by armed groups.

Regarding the blockage of some oil ports, Zeidan warned that anyone who disrupts the oil ports wants to fight the Libyan people. The Prime Minister was referring to the disruptions at Zueitina, and As-Sidra ports as well as oilfields.

The Prime Minister was saying that it was unreasonable for any small group to block oil sites in protest at salary-related issues – whilst at the same time affecting the salaries of everyone else. He added that oil was Libya’s source of strength and salaries and that stopping the flow of oil was dangerous. [/restrict]
