Tripoli, 8 March: The Network of Free Libyan Ulema has joined other Libyan NGOs and groups in marking International Women’s Day . . .[restrict]by praising the role Libyan women played in last year’s revolution.
It has reissued its statement last year, entitled To the Brave Women of Libya which thanked Libyan women for the work and sacrifices they undertook last year to ensure the country’s freedom.
“Now that Allah has blessed us all with victory, it is our honor to re-issue the very same document for the 2012 International Women’s Day celebrations, which now has the fresh taste that comes with freedom,” the organization said. “May Allah bless Libya’s women, men and children”, it concluded.
