There are unconfirmed reports that a Libyan . . .[restrict]Airforce jet last night accidentally engaged a Libyan naval vessel off Derna.
It has not been possible to contact either the Libyan airforce nor the navy about the alleged incident.
It is said that three crew members were killed and three others injured in the airstrike on the patrol boat late yesterday evening. The attack is said to have left the craft on fire. It is not clear if it managed to return to its base, thought to be at Tobruk. [/restrict]
