The second edition of the Libya Investment Exhibition ‘‘SPHERE EXPO 2026’’ May 10-12 ended in Tripoli yesterday. The event, held at the rebranded Marriot Hotel, now Lancaster Tower Hotel, is organized by the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences and the ADD International Conferences and Conventions Company.
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Economy and Trade, Suhail Abu Shiha and Essam Al-Tamouni, Minister of Housing and Reconstruction, along with several business leaders, investors, and those interested in the real estate development sector.
The exhibition is considered a leading platform for supporting the real estate investment sector in Libya. It brings together major companies and real estate developers to showcase their latest real estate and commercial projects, offering a new model for investment partnerships. This includes contributing to the reconstruction and urban development process in the country.
In an exclusive interview with Libya Herald, Ghaleb Al-Gibawi, General Manager of ADD International for Exhibitions and Conferences, emphasized that SPHERE EXPO 2026 is a step towards building a platform for major investors and foreign companies to connect with real estate development firms in Libya. He added that the exhibition aims to create genuine partnership opportunities and leverage expertise, including the development of real estate brokerage, which encourages reconstruction projects in various commercial cities.
Al-Giblawi further stated that the participation of well-known investors, particularly in the Nigerian market, highlights the promising opportunities it offers in numerous urban development and infrastructure projects. He stressed the importance of international cooperation in supporting guaranteed investment projects that bolster the national economy.
