The all-male Libyan contingent are Mohamed Said and Mahmoud Rajab, both discus throwers along with hammer specialist  Hamza Al-Himmali  and  Abdul Raouf Said and Walid Eshteiba, both of whom are shot putters as well as discus throwers.

All have been undergoing intensive last-minute preparations at their training camp at Tripoli Sports City.  They  have been working with their coaches, Ahmed Ramadan, and Shaban Al Abrood as well as  Ezzaldeen Beleed, who is the chairman of the Higher Technical Committee of Libyan Paralympic Athletics.

Beleed said that his athletes were determined to make an impact during the competition and had been preparing hard. He added: “The competition will be during the holy month of Ramadan, which will affect the athletes physically, but we are counting on the will and determination of these heroes, to achieve satisfactory results and grace the Libyan sports community as they always have done”.
