UAE ambassador leaves

Tripoli, March 14: (Agencies) The UAE Ambassador to Libya, Sultan Rashid Al Kaytoub, paid a farewell call on Sunday to NTC . . .[restrict]chairman Mustafa Abdul Jalil at the council’s headquarter in Tripoli.

Jalil thanked the UAE and its leadership under the president, Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai, Vice-President and the UAE’s Prime Minister, and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for their support during Libya’s 17 February Revolution.

He also thanked the UAE’s foreign minister, Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for the diplomatic efforts he made during the period as well as the important visit that he paid as the first Arab official following the success of the revolution.

He reiterated Libya’s keenness to benefit from the UAE ‘s experience in achieving sustainable development that made the country a modern state. Jalil also praised the ambassador’s efforts at developing cooperation between the two countries and wished him good luck in his future assignment.

For his part , Al Kaytoub delivered greetings from the UAE president and other UAE officials and stressed UAE’s continued support for Libya. [/restrict]
