In their discussions, the two focused on the possibility of improving Iraqi-Libyan relations and, in particular, issues in the judicial field, especially with regard to the possible release of the remaining Libyans being held in Iraqi prisons.
In March, Libyan Justice Minister Salah Marghani and his Iraqi counterpart, Hassan Shimari, signed a prisoner exchange deal, that included provisions for judicial cooperation. It has not yet been implemented. [/restrict]
