Khoms Port reported last Wednesday (15 April) that it had held an expanded meeting with the Regional Director of the global shipping line, Grimaldi Group.

The port said this is part of the strategic vision to develop maritime performance and enhance the efficiency of logistical operations at the port. It also reflects the ongoing efforts of the port authorities to revitalize trade and strengthen partnerships with major international shipping lines.

Khoms port said the Grimaldi line is a cornerstone of maritime transport in the Mediterranean. Connecting the port to this vital line will contribute to increasing trade volume by providing regular voyages linking Libyan ports to European and global markets, thus ensuring a smooth flow of goods and commodities.

This will also enhance logistical services by leveraging the Grimaldi Group’s global expertise in shipping, roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro), and container handling, in accordance with quality and efficiency standards.

The port reported that discussion during the meeting focused on ways to overcome obstacles and develop joint work mechanisms, ensuring the provision of distinguished services that contribute to accelerating port operations and raising the overall performance level of the facility.
