The Acting Mayor of Benghazi Municipality, Al-Sagr Imran Bujwari, met at his municipality’s office on Sunday with the Director of the Emirati Terminals Company, Munther Abu Shayeb.

During the meeting, the implementation of the infrastructure networks of the Benghazi Airport project in the Tika area (18 km south east of Benghazi at the abandoned airport of the Benghazi Aviation Club), and work done to implement these networks for water, sanitation, roads, electricity, and gas in accordance with the general plan of the city and the airport project that is targeted for implementation, were reviewed.

The Acting Mayor of Benghazi Municipality confirmed during the meeting the municipality’s readiness to cooperate fully in order to work on the completion of this project in a way that raises the level of services provided to citizens.

It is worth remembering that Benghazi’s functioning and main airport is Benina airport located 18 km west of its city centre.
