The Man-Made River Water Investment Authority Benghazi branch received a modern American mechanized New Holland Harvester Monday supplied by Al-Fath Company for Importing Agricultural Supplies, the exclusive agent of the American New Holland Company in Libya.

The handover ceremony was attended by the Acting Chairman of the Man-Made River Water Investment Authority – Benghazi, Ali Al-Haddad, and the head of the receiving committee of the Authority, Ali Idris. On the part of the supplier company, Ahmed Al-Ghazali, Chairman of Al-Fath Company (and the Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Libya AmCham).

This contribution will be a good start, God willing, within the framework of enhancing Libya’s food security and developing agricultural mechanization to save effort, money and time and raise national agricultural production, Al-Ghazali said.

The types of agricultural investments that the Man-Made River Water Investment Authority in Benghazi is currently engaged in are wheat, corn and alfalfa over an area of 10,000 hectares. It also plans to increase the varieties of wheat it is growing over the coming period.
