The Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation launches the first edition of the Libyan Employment Forum, in the presence of more than 30 companies.

The Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation and the Minister of Local Government launched yesterday the Libyan Employment Forum (job fair) in Tripoli. The event is organized in partnership with the Pragma Organization and funded by the European Union.

Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, stressed the important role of the private sector as the real partner in supporting the Libyan market and absorbing job seekers.

He said the forum aims to employ the largest possible number of young people according to the vacant positions in the companies, a step that comes in strengthening the important role of the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation in creating job opportunities for researchers.

For his part, Salim Al-Sayadi, Head of the Project Team at Pragma Organization, expressed his happiness with the success of this important event, which comes as a result of a joint cooperation effort between the European Union and the Libyan government represented by the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation and the private sector to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies, in addition to increasing human resource assets and improving the future of employment in Libya.

The event will also be held in the cities of Benghazi, Sebha and Misrata soon.
