The Department of Support and Development of Medical Services (DSDMS) revealed today the statistics for the first half of 2026 for physiotherapy activity at Misrata Physiotherapy Centre.
The total number of physiotherapy examinations and sessions conducted by the Slovak team at the Centre were:
· Men: 2,736 cases
· Women: 1,857 cases
· Grand total: 4,596 cases
It said the Slovak medical team at Misrata Physiotherapy Centre continues to provide specialized treatment services to patients with muscular dystrophy, and several other conditions, that require advanced physiotherapy and rehabilitation programmes.
The DSDMS said this comes as part of the localization of treatment plan initiated by the Tripoli based Libyan government and as part of its projects aimed at supporting therapeutic services and enhancing access to specialized health care in various regions.
