The Tripoli based Libyan government reported today that the Libyan-American Strategic Partnership Team held a meeting to follow up on cooperation with the United States within the framework of the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA), in implementation of Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Aldabaiba 's directives regarding the development of the partnership between the two countries.

The team adopted the report for the first half of 2026, which documents the work progress and results achieved, including agreements and meetings held with the American side, and progress in the oil and gas, natural resources, mining, aviation, trade, and investment sectors.

The team also followed up on several executive files with American companies and institutions, including cooperation with Boeing, the cooperation between the National Mining Corporation and the United States Geological Survey (USGS), and measures related to developing the business environment and facilitating the entry of American companies into the Libyan market.

The meeting was attended by Mustafa Al-Manaa, Head of the Executive Team for the Prime Minister's Initiatives and Strategic Projects; Khalifa Abdel-Sadig, Minister of Oil and Gas; Suhail Abu Shiha, Minister of Economy and Trade; and Ali Mahmoud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Investment Authority.
