According to reports in several Italian media sites yesterday, ITA Airways will resume scheduled flights between Rome’s Fiumicino airport and Tripoli’s Mitiga airport from 3 September this year.
Flights will operate twice a week.
The route last operated in 2025 but was suspended in October. If the service does operate, it will still be the only airline in the European Union to operate scheduled flights to Libya.
MedSky currently operates direct charter flights to Athens, Madrid, Malta, Milano, and Rome. It is launching a new service to Dusseldorf later this month. The airliner is talking about starting flights to London soon.
