Ministry of Oil & Gas holds meeting on Nigeria-Niger-Libya Gas Pipeline Project

Libya and Shell discuss several areas of cooperation

Libya’s Ministry of Oil and Gas reported yesterday that a meeting of the Committee for the Transcontinental Gas Pipeline (Nigeria-Niger-Libya) project, destined for Europe, was held yesterday at the Ministry of Oil and Gas’ Tripoli headquarters.

Technical and economic aspects of the project
The Ministry said discussions focused on the technical and economic aspects of the project, and ways to enhance regional cooperation to maximize the utilization of the natural resources of African countries.

Strengthens Libya’s role as a global energy hub
This project, it added, represents a new strategic artery that strengthens Libya’s role as a global energy hub and contributes to meeting the growing demand for gas in European markets, thus supporting development efforts and economic stability in the region.
