Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) port announced today that it has strengthened its regional position by receiving a new shipping line.
This came in the form of CLARION LINES today launching the first cargo operations to Libya through the MFZ port, with the arrival of the ship Ocean Dragon from Nigeria.
MFZ said this line directly connects the depth of African to Libya, enhancing maritime trade activity that consolidates the port’s position as an important hub for regional trade by providing a safe and efficient sea corridor linking it to international shipping lanes, and giving Libya a vital economic access to the African mainland.
MFZ said his expansion is expected to attract more regional shipping lines, support exports and imports, and cement the port’s role as one of the most prominent trade hubs and sea lanes in North Africa and the Mediterranean basin.
