A cooperation agreement was signed in Tripoli today between Mellitah Oil and Gas Company and US company Hill International to project manage offshore platforms A and E, the expansion of the Mellitah complex and the integrated development project for carbon dioxide management.‎

‎The agreement was signed after Masoud Suleiman Masoud, Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), received Massad Boulos, Advisor to US President Donald Trump for Africa Affairs, who had begun today a first-of-its-kind visit to Libya.‎

‎The meeting reviewed the NOC’s strategy to maintain Libya’s crude oil and natural gas production rates and work to increase oil production relatively to reach 2 million barrels per day by 2030. The meeting also touched on the existing petrochemical industries in Libya.‎

‎The importance of supporting the NOC for its important role in achieving economic stability in Libya was also discussed.‎
