Libya and Austria discussed the possibility of holding an economic forum.
The matter arose during a meeting yesterday between the Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Tripoli based Libyan Foreign Ministry, Mr. Ashraf Mohamed Al-Taib, and the Austrian Ambassador to Libya, Ms. Barbara Gross.
The meeting, held at the Ministry’s Tripoli headquarters, comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the two states, the Ministry said.
During the meeting, aspects of cooperation and the development and strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed in several economic and trade fields, including health, oil and gas.
Both sides stressed the need to work to complete draft agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries and maximize their benefits, the Ministry reported.
The Ambassador, the Ministry reported, expressed her country’s readiness to support development projects in Libya.
