Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) yesterday saluted Akakus Oil Company in reaching 306,000 barrels of crude oil production per day (bpd) at its Sharara Oilfield - the highest crude oil production rate it has recorded in seven years.

The NOC praised the competitive spirit prevailing among its employees and its subsidiaries to increase oil production and achieve economic stability in Libya.‎
